you may have noticed that the past 2 pages have been darker in color than usual. that was because i was using a different scanner than kit’s scanner. come wednesday, it’s back to very lightly colored dark areas. boo. (is there a different setting i can put it on? a filter i can alter in photoshop?)
in frame 4, everything looks fucked up because it is … i spilled food on that area of the comic. so you can see it is all hand-done!
bad art moments: 1) alyssa’s bangs went from shaggy to mod … in a matter of pages (that was actually just my bad, in COMPLETELY forgetting her character design … what can i say, she’s not a major player); 2) the dj disappears from behind jimmy whenever i fucking felt like it; 3) they live in a world without backgrounds; 4) sooo many more people in the crowd than i will EVER attempt to draw in “crane shots.” baaaah.
but! i do like jimmy’s jump into the frame in panel 3. aaand that’s it.
p.s. whatever happened to ace of base??

Actually there is a filter you can use to change the darkness. Depending on the scanner, before you accept the image you should be able to edit it (sometimes after accepting the image) and you can either fiddle with the brightness or the contrast or both depending on the software.
